Sweat the Look
Beckley Spring 2015 Campaign

Beckley_SS15-2Beckley_SS15-3Beckley_SS15-5Beckley_SS15_WPThe new Beckley Spring campaign, directed by Jake Davis, employs a feeling of nostalgia, dreamscape, sensuality and sport. The style brings to mine the classic touch of a tucked away Hamptons country club from yesteryear with an updated edge for the busy pavement of downtown Manhattan. The campaign balances tomboy sensibilities with feminine accents in color, texture and tone. The collection appeals to the Sweat The Style girl in a major way.

The LA meets NYC brand will launch its first pop-up in SoHo at 85 Mercer Street. Look out for the campaign to hit streets this week and watch the fashion film below via Style.com…

Nike x Sacai Air Max 90

AdrianneHo_NikexSacai-7NikeLab and Japanese fashion house Sacai launched a capsule collection of women’s performance sportswear that beautifully disrupts existing staples. A Sweat The Style favorite is the reinterpreted silhouette of the Nike Air Max 90 in subtle navy and black, innovating the sneaker to a slip-on leather shoe with an elasticated tongue. The color used for the sole is extended halfway up the side of the shoes to create the illusion of a wedge that takes this sneaker from function to fashion.

Kaitlyn’s Speed Ladder Drill

SweatTheStyle_KaitlynFitzpatrick_12We all get bored with our workout routines from time to time. It’s important to change it up and challenge yourself by trying something new. Your body will thank you for it. The Speed Ladder Drill is traditionally used for soccer training but the benefits apply to everyone. The purpose of this drill is to improve footwork which will increase quickness, agility, and coordination.

SweatTheStyle_KaitlynFitzpatrick_8Focus on form and then increase speed. Weave feet in and out of the ladder before moving forward. Push off the balls of your feet (not the toes), pump your hands from shoulder height to hips, keep your elbows at 90 degrees. Don’t forget to keep your body relaxed, straight, and always look forward.
Be sure to warm up with a short jog and a stretch.

Siovan Hope-Ross

SweatTheStyle_SiovanHopeRoss_5SweatTheStyle_SiovanHopeRoss_3 SweatTheStyle_SiovanHopeRoss_7SweatTheStyle_SiovanHopeRoss_1Sweat The Style girl model Siovan Hope-Ross is no stranger to having to be comfortable in her own skin. Growing up in the Caribbean she’s spent a lot of time in a bikini and now you can often find her modeling lingerie and swimwear. Today she’s running through NYC wearing Sweat x Sweat The Stye beanie and Tech sports bra, gold Nike Huaraches, and Low Classic Korea skirt. Even when splitting her time between New York, Toronto, and St. Maarten she sets time aside to focus on herself so she can enjoy food and feel good about herself.

Who do you sweat?
I sweat Nike on my feet and Lululemon and Adidas on my tits.
What do you sweat?
A good sports bra with support and style and cool kicks. Air Max and Huaraches are rotating right now.
Where do you sweat?
Gym, outdoors stairs, hills, and studios (pilates, Legree).
When do you sweat?
Late mornings, early afternoon but nothing can happen before my first coffee. I also love sweating under the sun.
How do you sweat?
Love to do body weight exercises i.e jump lunges, jump squats, bosu ball work, and planks. At the studio I work on pilates and high intensity pilates.
Why do you sweat?
I sweat because I ALWAYS feel accomplished and stronger afterwards. I also  like to know that I can wear and fit into pretty much anything. My job as a model requires me to be fit, toned, and have a great figure (toned booty, arms, and abs). Last but not least after I workout I don’t feel guilty about enjoying the second love of my life: food!

Health & Wellness
Keep Ya Head Up

AdrianneHo_TupacShakur-6Staying properly hydrated not only flushes out toxins from the body and increases your energy levels, but it also helps you look your best. Drinking enough water helps prevent and lessen dark eye circles, combats acne, and keeps skin from getting dull and dry. It’s recommended that we drink about 8 (8 oz.) glasses of water a day. Depending on how physically active you are that number can increase. Thirst is your body’s way of telling you that it’s been dehydrated for a long time. It’s good keep a bottle or water filter near so you’ll never have to reach that point.
