Nike Air Rift

SweatTheStyle_NikeAirRiftIn 1996 there was nothing as big as Madonna who made the Nike Air Rift famous when she also brought yoga stateside in a complete fashion meets active meets health takeover to New York City…
SweatTheStyle_Nike_AirRiftThe Nike Air Rift sneaker/sandal hybrid was inspired by the efficient barefoot style of Kenyan distance runners featuring the color palette of the country’s flag. Also drawing its name from the country’s Great Rift Valley fault line. The decoupled toe creates articulation between the wearer’s toes.

A Sweat The Style favorite as it hits every note of function, innovation, and style. The Nike Air Rift is back in a major way as this upcoming summer’s staple for Sweat The Style girls. We haven’t forgotten about our Birkenstocks and slides, we’re just making room in our closets and gym bags for this one!

All Samples Cleared!

AdrianneHo_SupremeGivenchy_1#HoKnows there is nothing groundbreaking about florals for Spring. But what makes Givenchy’s version of a Birkenstock Arizona this season the perfect balance of style and substance is the levels of sampling and quality in this iteration of a classic.

SweatTheStyle_GivenchyBirkenstocks_1This Italian made pre or post workout essential, features a premium soft footbed that is therapeutic and supportive. But the more interesting tale is the print of the sandal. What started as a painting by French artist Henri Fantin-Latour entitled, “A Basket of Roses” was reproduced by designer Peter Saville for New Order’s second studio album, “Power, Corruption & Lies.” In a collaboration with Raf Simons in his 2003/4 “Closer” collection Saville graphics were featured. Almost thirty years later Supreme brilliantly re-appropriates the floral graphic for a collection of fleece, t-shirts, hats, sneakers, and skate decks. The following year we find Givenchy creating their own version of history.
